Industrial Maintenance Technician

Advanced-Poly-Packaging, Inc. in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Your responsibilities in general will be to maintain and repair our proprietary poly bag production machinery, printing presses, film extrusion equipment as well as performing preventative maintenance and general warehouse maintenance tasks as needed.

Pay is dependent on skills and experience. General starting wages listed.

Responsibilities:

• Repair, setup and/or adjust proprietary industrial machinery and other production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Shifts available are Monday through Thursday (1st shift) 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. (2nd shift) 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
• Overtime depending upon needs/training

​Qualifications:

• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic industrial equipment  (480v - 3 phase)
•  Understanding preventive and predictive maintenance practices 
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and schematics 
• Welding/fabrication experience, preferably certified 
• Good knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems 
• Preferred: Experience maintaining HVAC systems and air compressors
• Safety and quality oriented
• Familiarity with industrial tools, equipment, lockout tagout and safe operating procedures
• Ability to handle a fast paced and physical workload while self-tasking as needed during downtime
• Reliable attendance record and ability/willingness to work overtime
